My Favourite Perfumes

FullSizeRender copy

Hey guys!

In today’s post I am going to be sharing with you my favourite perfumes! Let me begin by saying a couple of things. First, I am really bad at describing scents so have taken the help of the internet and the official brands themselves to describe these scents. I didn’t see the point of saying “OHHH THIS SMELLS AMAZING!” for every scent without actually explaining each of them to you. Second, None of the perfumes have been bought by me using my own money. The first five are mine (they are gifted to me) and  the next four are my mum’s that I use on a regular basis since I do live with my parents. My mom and I share our makeup and perfumes quite a bit which is why it made sense to include these scents in my favourites post. Third. These aren’t all the perfumes that mum and I own but instead these have got to be MY top picks. This does not mean that they are the best perfumes in the market- it is simply a matter of personal preference. Fourth. I will not be listing the price for any of these since I didn’t buy any of them using my money. Neither do I want to show off in any way! So, if you like the sound of any of these perfumes, you can check them out on google 🙂

Now that we have that out of the way, let’s begin!

Michael Kors- Sporty Citrus – 50 ml

I have listed this perfume as the first one since this is what I reach for everyday. It’s a no -brainer for me as its a super fresh scent with a musky trail. It’s basically a  sweet union of orange and mandarin along with scents of fresh orange. What makes it unique is the fact that it has masculine undertones for the perfect balance!

Victoria’s Secret – Noir Tease – 50 ml

One of those bottles that would take you back in time. This super sweet yet sexy feminine scent is a combination  Black vanilla, frozen pear and blooming gardenia. What stands out for me is the beautiful glass bottle with the lace pink pattern and atomiser.

Dior addict  – 50 ml

young, playful and happy scent that works really well as an everyday perfume as well. The top notes are bergamot and grapefruit; middle notes are lotus, freesia and pomegranate; base notes are musk and woodsy notes. Which basically means that it has fruit, floral and warm and woody tones which gives it a good balance.

Givenchy- Play – 75 ml

This perfume’s composition combines floral and fruity aromas that are gradually transformed into a sensual woody trail – fresh, juicy and musky, all at once. It’s not too feminine and works well using all year round.

Juicy couture-  Peace Love and Juicy Couture – 100 ml

This juicy perfume is different for all the Juicy Couture perfumes that you will come across. It’s not super sweet and girly and instead it’s very green! It almost smells like spring, leaves and spring. The bottle here is a show stopper!

Prada- Infusion d’iris 50 ml

This Prada perfume looks super retro and it’s bottle stands out from a lot of modern perfumes out there. The name of this fragrance was inspired by the old method of producing iris extract which took six months of soaking until the sweetly fresh iris notes were extracted. This modern and elegant fragrance opens with notes of mandarin, galbanum, orange and orange blossom which lead to the heart composed of iris, cedar and vetiver. To cut it short, it’s the perfect modern woman perfume- elegant yet bold.

Ysl – Parisienne -50 ml

The two words to define this perfume are femine and bold. Viinyl is definitely the stand out feature apart from which it is a fruity and rose scent . It also have an extra depth from violets and berries.

My Burberry – 90 ml

My Burberry is a floral, earthy and modern perfume. The bottle is inspired by the classic reach coat and I absolutely love it.  The perfume is supposed to be inspired by London showers and it does justice! It’s the perfect everyday luxury bottle which a scent of the city showers, earth and florals.

Dior Midnight Poison – 50 ml

IMG_2464This perfume basically  smells like MAGIC!  Known to be a classic, you will NOT go wrong with this one. It has an  opening with citrus notes of mandarin and bergamot to the rose heart, and patchouli, amber and French vanilla in the base.

On my wish list:

Chloe Eau de Toilette

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle

Have you tried out any of these perfumes? What do you think about them? Please do share your favourite perfumes with me! I would love to try them out.

PS: I am no perfume expert at all and if you know me, you’ll see my using a humble body mist very often, especially if I’m just sitting at home. However, I do love indulging once in a while. I haven’t ever bought a perfume on my own and I guess I see Chloe being on top of my wish list!
